Iraq Vet marching laps for every dead US soldier in Iraq
Marching laps for every dead US soldier in Iraq
An Iraq veteran was greeted early on the morning of May 28th
by nearly one hundred fellow veterans, parents of US troops in Iraq
supporters — including the father of Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq
— and other as he began a round-the-clock effort to march around the State
Capitol for all U.S. troopers killed in Iraq.
By about 3:30 p.m., the veteran had completed about 50 half-mile loops
around the building. He expects to cover all 350 California dead by early
Wednesday, marching 24-hours a day. He has promised he will not quit until
exhaustion forces him to quit.
The Iraq War veteran, who insists on remaining anonymous as "only a
representative" of his fallen comrades, has told supporters he will not
rest until he has finished all the laps, or until he cannot continue. He
plans to march/walk 24-hours a day with only a little food and water to
sustain him. The walk will also mark the deaths of thousands of Iraqi
civilians, he said.
