San Francisco Protests Against Fox News and Bill O'Reilly
SF Protests Bill O'Reilly
11/20: As Bill O'Reilly spoke at the Masonic Auditorium, protesters gathered outside to denounce Fox News' distorted news coverage.
O'Reilly said he would apologize to the nation and never trust the Bush administration again if weapons of mass destruction were not found in Iraq. Why has O'Reilly not apologized yet? Perhaps it's because people who watch Fox News have been led to believe that weapons of mass destruction have been found. 80% of people whose primary news source is Fox News believe at least one of the following misperceptions: weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq; Saddam Hussein was directly linked to the 9/11 attacks; world public opinion supported the U.S. attack on Iraq (University of Maryland Program on International Policy poll of 3,334 10/2/2003).
