1/18: A massive anti-war protest happened today in downtown SF calling for no war on Iraq. The crowd stretched continuously from the foot of Market St. and filled the Civic Center to capacity.

In Washington DC, hundreds of thousands of people braved frigid weather to rally in front of Congress and march in the streets to oppose war and to demand peace and justice. A second march on the 19th included civil disobedience and resulted in over a dozen arrests.
