5:13pm Demonstrators have dispersed
4:51pm Crowd is still in the hundreds, but perhaps dwindling. No arrests.
4:43pm Reports say riot cops are beginning to close in on crowd.
4:32pm Around 300 demonstrators have stopped in front of the army recruiting station - Audio interviews | Report
4:15pm Two groups of riot cops following on opposite sides of the march; march still 5-600 strong
4:11pm March headed up Embarcadero. Van full of riot cops present
4:03pm: Demonstrators headed toward the Embarcadero. Cops seem calm at the moment.
3:51pm: March headed up Battery
3:36pm: Police on horses moving to head off demonstrators. Demo photos
3:18pm: Breakaway march is approx. 4-500. Another march of 1500 or so is headed down Market as well.
3:04pm: Breakaway march has left. Motorcycle cops are in abundance. Headed down McAllister past Hastings Law School.
2:45pm: SF and East Bay Food Not Bombs are providing energizing grub. No reports from breakaway march as of yet.
2:27pm: Speakers continue. KPFA reports "tens of thousands". Breakaway march to gather at Grove/Polk.
1:28pm: With speakers on stage, demonstrators ranging from mainstream liberals to anarchists are gathered. Direct action is planned for around 2:30pm - Details
12:51pm: Huge crowd amassing at Civic Center
12:39pm: A crowd of 50+ has taken the street near Mission and 16th, blocking traffic and heading downtown
12:25pm: Crowd estimate at 20,000+
12:16pm: March moving - Lots of cop vehicles on Drum b/t Clay and Sacramento
12:14pm: Market Street is filled with people as the march begins and both lanes are closed entirely. Traffic is snarled. Cops have many a van on the street
11:56am: Thousands of demonstrators are filling the streets of downtown San Francisco, raising their voices in outrage at US-led war and terrorism. Speakers are breaking it down on stage, while the march is on the verge of beginning.
