Special Coverage The FTAA meetings in Quebec City this week, which will expand NAFTA throughout the western hemisphere, continue to be massively opposed by people everywhere. On April 11, leaders of Brazil's landless workers movement will speak out against FTAA in Berkeley. Anti-FTAA demonstrations occurred in Buenos Aires April 5-7 where the hemisphere-wide finance ministerial summit was held. The City of Arcata issued a proclamation opposing the FTAA on April 4.
