Hayward's Local Patients' Coop Raided and Closed
Dispensary Had Faced December Closure by Local Government
The Local Patients' Cooperative in Hayward, at 22630 Foothill Blvd (at B Street), was raided by DEA and IRS agents on Tuesday, December 12th. Along with the LPC club, three residences in Hayward were reportedly raided and searched. The LPC had been preparing to close at the end of December. This busy medical cannabis dispensary had previously violated the city's regulation that limited dispensaries to 3 pounds of cannabis onsite. The Patients Resource Center, half a block down the street, was not affected by the raid.
