Rob los Ricos Makes First Post-Prison Visit to Bay Area this Week
Recently-Released Rob los Ricos Speaks at Several Events Around Bay Area
Rob Los Ricos, anarchist political prisoner, was released from prison this summer, after serving a sentence of seven years for hitting a police officer with a rock in Eugene, Oregon. He will be speaking at several Bay Area events about his experiences in prison, what it takes to make it through, and the scene in Eugene (pre and post prison), amongst other topics. Since he was sent to prison, he has formed the Anarchist Prisoners Legal Aid Network, a resource-sharing and communication network for incarcerated anarchists; continued to write for his own projects and for Anarchy magazine; and has contributed to Heartcheck with Jeff "Free" Luers.
Rob and former Black Panther and recent grand jury resister Richard Brown spoke on Thursday, Sept. 14that the AK Press Warehouse at 674-A 23rd Street in Oakland. The event that evening was a raffle to benefit Rob and for medical expenses for former Panther and recent grand jury resister John Bowman. Rob will also be at Station 40, 3030b 16th Street SF on Friday, Sept 15th at 7:00pm. On Wednesday, Sept 20th, Rob will be at the Long Haul at 3124 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley from 7:30 - 9:00pm. Rob will be at Free Mind Media at 546 Pacific Ave in Santa Rosa at 6:30pm on September 26th
