11/8/03: Having given over $40,000 to the effort to recall Humboldt County District Attorney Paul Gallegos, with much of the money paying for out-of-state signature gatherers who made a whopping $8 per signature, voters will head to the polls in March 2004 in another California recall.

The campaign to oust the newly elected DA came days after he filed a historic lawsuit against Maxxam’s Pacific Lumber, charging fraud.
