1/22: About 150 people including contingents from the Coalition on Homelessness, People Organized to Win Employment Rights (POWER), and POOR Magazine gathered to honor those who passed on without a roof in the last three years. They don't have an exact figure as to many homeless people died because San Francisco's Department of Public Health (DPH) has not counted homeless deaths since 1999. It is estimated from previous statistics that at least 100 people have died on the streets of SF each year since 1987.
