Port of Oakland Contract: Waterfront Workers Fight Back
The ILWU is facing a contract expiration that covers 10,000 West Coast longshore men and women faced with a threatened lockout by the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) – and the danger that President Bush will invoke the Taft-Hartley Act in the event of a strike or slowdown.
