Three years before the famous rioting at New York's Stonewall Inn, a group of transgender women and gay street-hustlers fought back for possibly the first time in this country's history against everyday police harassment at Gene Compton's Cafeteria in San Francisco's Tenderloin. This unheralded event helped kick off a new movement for human rights in America. Featuring performances by the award-winning rock band Lipstick Conspiracy, and selections from the Emmy-nominated documentary film "Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton's Cafeteria." SF-TEAM works to commemorate transgender heritage, to empower and nurture transgender and gender-variant individuals; and to increase visibility to promote positive social change. $15 - $50 sliding donation (NOTAFLOF).

Tonight's fundraiser kicks off with white trash food served at 8:30pm, a raffle for great prizes and a performances starting 10pm with Glamamore, Holy McGrail, Anna Conda, Syphillis Diller, Kiddie and more.
