Date:
Saturday, September 24, 2016
Time:
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Event Type:
Class/Workshop

Monterey County Homeless Union
Location Details:
Sherwood Park
940 N Main St, Salinas, California 93906

You’re invited to a birthday celebration at the Salinas City Hall Flagpole! We’ve been sitting at City Hall’s doorstep for 6 months now because they said they would “connect people with services.”

Instead of delivering what they enacted as law, the city wants to abort us by banning camping and loitering altogether throughout the city.
BUT WE’RE STILL KICKIN’!!

Saturday Sept 24
10:45am- Training Session at CLAY PARK for a Honk and Wave up Main Street
11:15am- Walk to Sherwood Park
12-3pm- Lunch with DJ Frank, CCL, & SNBHHF

Sherwood Park
940 North Main Street
Salinas, CA 93901

When I say People, You say POWER!
When I say Housing, You say NOW!!
When I say Homeless, You say UNION!
When I say Heal, You say SALINAS!!

Ain’t No Power Like the
Power of the People ‘cuz the
Power of the People
Won’t STOP!!

§Update
by Monterey County Homeless Union
*** UPDATE!!! ***

This birthday party has gotten SO BIG, that we're going to have to change venues to SHERWOOD PARK!!!!

Now we'll have lots of room to play and enjoy the day! Two groups are hooking us up with food, blankets, jackets, clothing, and shelter supplies!!!!

Thanks so much Children and the Country Life, Silver n' Black Helping Hands Foundation, and DJ Frank Garden for making this an awesome event for many of our most vulnerable here in Salinas!!

There wlll be a brief training for a Honk and Wave at 10:45am from Clay Park (Clay Street and Capitol Street) to Sherwood Park (N. Main Street and Bernal Drive).

Remember, it's Farmers' Market day in Oldtown! Lots of people to enlighten on our route about the high-handedness of 3 individuals- two of which the public cannot even vote for- The mayor, the city attorney, and the city manager!!!

Come for the Honk and Wave, stay for the Party!!!
