For more than 14 years there has been encampment of Colombian GM injured workers at the US embassy in Bogota to get compensation and justice. In Colombian the AFL-CIO Solidarity Center also operates with funding from the US government. There will also be a report on the intensifying Attacks on the workers of Central and Latin America by the Trump government.

The AFL-CIO "Solidarity Center" has received over $1 billion from the US government and last year it was shutdown by Musk and DOGE. The Soldiarity Center director Shawna Bader-Blau and the AFL-CIO president Liz Schuler appealed to the Trump government to continue to fund the operation because according to them it was supporting US interests internationally and this year Trump and the Republicans agreed to refund the National Endowment for Democracy NED which funds the Solidarity Center with $71 million a year.
AFL-CIO president Liz Schuler was formerly on the board of the National Endowment for Democracy NED which is funded directly by the US government.
The panel sponsored by the Labor Education Project on AFL-CIO International Operations LEPAIO focused on the history of the Solidarity Center and what role it plays internationally and why the US Trump government continues to fund it.
It also looks at the role of Labor Notes and their refusal to allow any panels or discussion about the US supported AFL-CIO operations and the AFL-CIO's acceptance of massive funding from the US government.

The AFL-CIO and its "Solidiarity Center" was recently given $71 million by the fascist Trump government through the National Endowment for Democracy.
Despite a GM Colombian injured workers encampment in outside the US Bogota Embassy that went on for 14 years there has not been one article or mention in any of the publicity and documents of the "Solidarity Center". It has received over $1 billion from the US government for it's operations.
The NED and AFL-CIO "Solidarity Center" has also been engaged in supporting the overthrow of the Venezuelan government and other governments throughout Latin America and the world. It continues to collude with the US government around the world to support US imperialism and that is why the Trump government is continuing to fund it.
