Navigating Divorce and Family Law: Support and Solutions (Free Virtual Workshop)

Navigating family law and divorce can be especially overwhelming to navigate.You may have questions about your children, your safety, your immigration status and the ability to support yourself. For people on dependent visas, and for survivors of abuse, the cost of asking the wrong person can feel higher than the cost of staying silent.

The India Community Center, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley (APABA SV), and the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California (SABA-NC) are co-hosting a free virtual workshop with two California attorneys who work with these issues directly.

Topics covered:
Common questions about divorce proceedings
Legal protections and options for survivors of domestic violence
Immigration issues affecting spouses on H-4 and other visas
Child custody, visitation, and child and spousal support

Attendees may participate anonymously — camera off, name hidden. Questions may also be submitted in advance through the registration form and will be answered during the session, so no one has to speak up on the call to get an answer.
