Stop Trump’s Fascist War on Iran! General Strike Now!
Tuesday, April 7, 2026
4:00 PM
At: SF Federal Building
90 7th St., SF

The fascist war threat by Trump to “bomb Iran back to the stone age” is an attack on the entire world’s working class and people. His bombing of the largest nuclear power plant in Iran
would possibly lead to a dirty bomb nuclear explosion contaminating the entire Middle East and world.

Trump has also attacked Venezuela, is strangling Cuba, is supporting the Israeli genocide and pogroms in the West Bank and is threatening wars throughout the world as well as continued sanctions on countries that oppose US imperialist demands. Israel, fully supported by the US, has threatened to turn Lebanon into Gaza and Trump has the same plans for Iran. The Democrats have helped fund these wars.

At the same time, he is telling the US people that the government cannot pay for child care, medicaid and medicare but has to focus on expanding the war machine with a 50% increase to $1.5 trillion.

This has even led to a split in the US military. Over 20 top officers have been removed or resigned who do not want this undeclared and Illegal war which is really a suicide mission for US
troops. We support US troops who refuse these criminal orders and arrest any officers that tell them to commit war crimes.

We call on all workers and unions to support the calls for a general strike on May Day 2026, and to march together against imperialist wars abroad the capitalists here at home. We support an
independent democratic mass workers party with a program for working people against the techno fascist billionaires running the US and the world.

This Tuesday is Trump’s “deadline” before his threat to bomb the nuclear power plants and expand the war globally.

Join us at the
San Francisco Federal Building
90 7th St./Mission
to oppose this insanity and threat to the people of Iran and the world.

‘Somebody stop this madman’: Strikes on nuclear plants raise risk of disaster in Iran

After US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to open up the Strait of Hormuz, US-Israeli forces have conducted major strikes on Iran’s energy and industrial facilities.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the official state news agency of Iran, reported that “following the US-Zionist criminal attacks, this Saturday morning, around 8:30 am, a projectile hit the area near the Bushehr nuclear power plant in the southwest,” according to AFP.
According to IRNA, the attack killed a security guard on duty and destroyed an auxiliary building, but the reactor and station’s main facilities were not damaged. The Bushehr plant has been attacked four times during the war so far.
Tehran denounced the attack, warning of the risk of a radiation disaster. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted on X that such strikes could lead to radioactive fallout.
“Radioactive fallout will end life in GCC capitals, not Tehran,” he said, referring to the Gulf Cooperation Council, an alliance of states that retains close relations with the US.
According to Reuters, Araghchi delivered a message to the UN on the same day saying the strikes could lead to leaks of radioactive material.
The International Atomic Energy Agency said no rise in radiation levels in the area had been confirmed. In a message posted on X, the agency said that Director-General Rafael Grossi reiterated the “call for maximum military restraint to avoid risk of a nuclear accident.”
Mohamed ElBaradei, 69, a former director-general of the IAEA and winner of the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize, called for the strikes to stop in stronger language.
Addressing Gulf nations, ElBaradei wrote in Arabic on social media, “Please, once again, do everything in your power before this madman turns the region into a ball of fire.”
It was an appeal to Saudi Arabia and the UAE and other nations in the region friendly with the US to stop supporting the US by offering the use of their military bases, and urging them to try to persuade the US to end the war.
In an X post written in English, he appealed to the UN, the governments of China and Russia, the Council of the EU, and French President Emmanuel Macron, writing, “Nothing can be done to stop this madness?!”
Iranian petrochemical facilities have also become targets of US-Israeli strikes. ISNA, a semi-official news agency in Iran, announced that five people were killed in US-Israeli strikes on facilities in the Mahshahr Petrochemical Special Zone in Khuzestan Province. According to Fars News Agency, three firms in the zone were hit, resulting in massive explosions.
Israel announced that it will continue strikes on Iran’s industrial facilities. In a video addressing the Israeli people released on Saturday night, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I promised you that we will continue to crush the terrorist regime in Tehran, and that is exactly what we are doing.”
He also confirmed that Israel had attacked Iran’s petrochemical factories and destroyed “70% of its ability to create steel, which is used as the raw material for the weapons used against us.”
“These two industries serve as their money machine, which funds their war of terror against us and the entire world,” he said.
As the war continues, the US and Israel are expanding the scope of their attacks to include not only the Islamic regime’s leadership but also various civilian and industrial facilities.
Hossein Simaei Saraf, Iran’s science minister, announced that more than 30 Iranian universities have been “directly targeted” by the US and Israel since the war began on Feb. 28.
On Thursday, a US airstrike annihilated the bridge connecting the cities of Tehran and Karaj, killing at least eight and injuring around 100. The figures include a family that was resting underneath the bridge.
French paper Le Monde reported that while the US and Israel initially targeted the Islamic regime to encourage the people to rise up, as the war continues for longer than expected, their priorities are changing.
The French outlet added that it now seems as if the operational goal is to systemically destroy Iran’s military-industrial complex and to make Iran submit through suffering so that the regime reopens the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, Iran has retaliated by striking industrial and water desalination facilities in the Gulf states.
The Kuwaiti Energy Ministry issued a statement on Sunday saying that Iranian drone strikes have struck a power plant and a desalination facility, adding that the attacks have inflicted “severe material damage.” Two power generation units have been shut down since the attacks, although no human casualties have been reported.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement through IRNA taking credit for attacks on US military facilities in Kuwait and on aluminum production sites in the UAE.
