Hi Guys
Don't know if I can drive up from Monterey but here is what I believe will work. You need signs that say 'CEASEFIRE NOW: You Work for US' & 'CEASEFIRE OR RESIGN'. You want to pressure Padilla by letting him know we will push to make him resign. He sent me a letter focused on Hamas being a terrorist group and Israel having the right to defend itself. That is his position.
Next sign: 'Recall Gavin Newsom'. Newsom appointed Padilla. You have to pressure both. Newsom is a surrogate for Biden putting ppl in like Laphonza Bultler who will not say a word, they follow party lines even if they are wrong like as in the case for GAZA.
You have to focus on the recall and on the fact that we can pressure Padilla to step down. A recall makes Newsom careful about who he replaces Padilla with. Padilla has never asked for a ceasefire. This will enhance the protest. Believe me the DNC is afraid of losing a seat to Republicans. They will reverse course on Gaza if we use this strategy nationwide.
Biden needs California to win. This will scare him even more.
