In early January of this year, Vincent Bryant, a Black, unhoused man was shot in the face at point blank range by the Berkeley Police while experiencing a mental health crisis. Berkeley Copwatch invites you, the Berkeley community, to analyze footage of this incident.

the public is invited, we will be joined by a panel of professionals working in mental health to explore the rising opportunity for alternative responses to mental health emergencies in Berkeley, our current state, as well as a look at other communities already doing this work. Break out groups will follow and community dialogue will be encouraged during the zoom event.

If these review boards dont hold cops accountable and dist atty.dont file any charges it's never gonna end. Its catch 22. Majority of the time all a cop has to stay is he she feared for their life and will get away with it

Seems as if they enjoy doing harm to blks .is it a special club .do they get a medals or some extra incentive yrly .
Clearly theres something wrong and we keep having meetings and talking about it but nothing is changing .

Maybe it's good to at least try a crisis team dealing with issues cause cops not trying to assist or help.theyre probably worried about budget cuts .

Bottom line if your not helping your hurting .they hurt people .the ability to deescalate incidences maybe too difficult for them .
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
