A solidarity rally was held on January 4, 2021 to demand the release of Julian Assange, the dropping of charges
against him and Edward Snowden. Speakers also called for freedom of all journalists and whistleblowers and political prisoners.

Also the CWA Pacifica Media Workers Guild Vice President Gloria LaRiiva also spoke at the rally as well as other members of the PMWG.
The PMWG has passed a resolution supporting the Congressional Resolution calling for the dropping of charges against Assange as well as the San Francisco Labor Council.

Speakers also talked about the attack on San Francisco journalist Brian Carmody whose office and home were illegally invaded by SF Police and a supported by judges although it is illegal in California to target a journalist for doing his work.

No prosecution has taken place against the SF police officers, Chief of Police and the judges who issued the illegal warrants.

May the British govt release him May he be protected

The British judge who refused to allow extradition of Julian Assange on legal grounds that Nazi USA's concentration camp prisons encourage suicide is a direct slap in the face of the sales pitch of this backward country that there is any democracy here, when it is now and always has been a fascist oligarchy. This is the same judge who usually routinely allows extradition.
The rhetoric of free speech and free press is the American sales pitch and is not likely to be considered by any judge.

We can be sure this judge is a mouthpiece of the British capitalist class. It is a sign that Europe's capitalist class understands Nazi USA's allowing Nazi Trump to sit in office as president at all is a sign of weakness, a sign the American empire is finally declining. Nazi USA has been terrorizing the whole world with some 1,000 military bases around the world to promote its rotten empire.

The world now sees that the USA cannot even take care of its own economy since it has no socialized medicine, unlike all of Europe and the rest of the industrialized world, and thus COVID19 is decimating the US worse than any other country on a per capita and absolute basis. So long as the virus is rampant, the economy cannot recover. There are now some 360,000 deaths in this country of 330 million people, with 3,129 dying in the last 24 hours of COVID19, a record. See https://www.bing.com/search?q=California%2C+United+States%2C+Global+coronavirus+cases+and+deaths&pc=U316&form=CHRDEF&sp=-1&pq=california%2C+united+states%2C+global+coronavirus+&sc=0-46&qs=n&sk=&cvid=023B2A4C5CBE493D9D67FC029EE25402

The regions and countries with socialized medicine are:
All of Europe, Israel, Rwanda, Cuba, Canada, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, China, Taiwan, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand.

The US has declining life expectancy since 2014 and has the lowest life expectancy and highest infant mortality in the industrialized world due to lack of socialized medicine.

The fact that 74 million people voted for a 2d term for Nazi Trump means this is a profoundly backward, uneducated and racist country that cannot lead a horse out of a barn, much less lead the world.
