March in Protest of Jeff Sessions' Dismissal Starts at Congresswoman Eshoo's Office

On November 8, a rally in front of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's office appeared to be surveilled by a drone in the sky. Demonstrators were protesting Trump's replacement of his attorney general with loyalist Matthew Whitaker. Eshoo issued a statement in support of the protest earlier that day. When a drone appeared in the sky above Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's office, demonstrators peered above, watching it grow closer to the crowd as if to take photos. They postulated that it was surveillance, and wondered by whom.

Hours before the rally, Eshoo released a statement supporting the protest. The Congresswoman is a cosponsor of HR 5476, the “Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act,” which would protect Mueller’s independence while he conducts the Russia investigation.

After protesters shouted chants led by the Raging Grannies, they marched several blocks from Eshoo's office to King Plaza in front of Palo Alto's city hall. There they were greeted by Paul George of the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center and activist Steve Eittreim the two of whom, along with the Grannies, organized the evening's action. Entertainment included inspirational singing by 10-year-old Ava Adams preceded by an open mic. Surprise speaker of the evening Retired Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge LaDoris Cordell read a passage from a speech by African American abolitionist Frederick Douglass: "We have three weapons: our voices, our pens -- the media -- and our vote. We must use these weapons until we are no longer headed by a bad man."

Paul George of the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center said we knew this day was coming, so he had printed signs all ready in his car. National organizers MoveOn had been planning this rapid response action for months.

There is no future in supporting viciously reactionary Jeff Sessions, whose last act was to void consent decrees to stop police anti-civil rights actions. See https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/415885-on-his-way-out-sessions-limits-use-of-consent-decrees

There is also no future in scapegoating Russians for anything. This was Hitler's old game and the US capitalist class, Democrats and Republicans together, have been doing this since the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. Russia is now capitalist since 1991, but the scapegoating remains. The anti-Russian hysteria is being fanned by the former Director of the infamous, anti-labor, anti-communist FBI, Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Charges against Russians are certainly for show since they are outside the US jurisdiction. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Counsel_investigation_(2017%E2%80%93present)

Republican Mueller has never apologized for being an American military officer in the illegal, racist, genocidal American War against Vietnam, which resulted in the deaths of 3 million Vietnamese, 1 million Cambodians, 58,000 Americans and thousands of other people. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Mueller

Within 24 hours after election day November 2016, when the Republicans again committed election fraud in 2016 by tossing the black vote in the contested states, as they did in 2000 and 2004, the Democrats chose to pursue this anti-Russian hysteria so they could frame the left, as they hate socialists and the Green Party far more than they do their fellow capitalists who happen to be registered Republican, and their pro-police state policies are just as racist as the Republican pro-police state policies.

Since it is utterly reactionary to pursue any anti-Russian scapegoating, it is best to never vote for any party or person who pursues any anti-Russian scapegoating. The problems we have originated right here at home, perpetrated by the capitalist class and their twin parties of war and fascism, the Democrat-Republicans, all to maximize the profits of the capitalist class, the private profit system being the cause of all our grief. Only the socialist Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party focus on the problems of the private profit system, all caused by the capitalist class.

These staged Democratic Party rallies always prompt me to ask: Where were all these people when Obama illegally installed an openly pro-Nazi government in Ukraine in 2014 with $5 billion of our tax dollars, where they worship a proud Nazi, the late Stepan Bandera and have named a street after him (for the May 2, 2014 Odessa massacre at the House of Trade Unions and the history of Nazi Ukraine, see http://ersieesist.livejournal.com/813.html, http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-odessa-massacre-was-a-carefully-planned-covert-intelligence-operation/5382253; http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-white-houses-nazis-from-hitlers-germany-in-the-1930s-to-kiev-today-the-us-disturbing-partnerships-with-nazis/5382188; http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-may-2nd-odessa-massacre-why-obamas-coup-regime-still-runs-ukraine/5446593; http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-u-s-has-installed-a-neo-nazi-government-in-ukraine/5371554 )?

Where were all these people when Obama illegally installed such a reactionary government in Honduras in 2009, that the Honduran people are now fleeing by the thousands? Where were all these people when a Trump supporter massacred Jews in Pittsburgh? Where were all these people when the Democrats praised war criminal, women-hating John McCain? The list can go on practically forever.

The lives of humanity and Planet Earth are threatened by the pro-nuclear war and pro-nuclear power policies of the Democrat-Republicans, and that is worth protesting right now, among many other basic issues right here at home.

This is the height of the bourgeois thinking of the reactionary capitalist party that is the "Democratic." Stumping for an avoid racist, misogynist, reactionary Confederate loving Republican brings the Democrats home to their roots as the Party of the Confederacy.
