Film: “Tsar to Lenin”
First released in 1937, “Tsar to Lenin,” ranks among the twentieth century’s greatest film documentaries. It presents an extraordinary cinematic account of the Russian Revolution—from the seizure of power to the revolutionary victory against the armies of 14 imperialist countries and the domestic reactionaries.

Storming the Gates looks inside the Russian Revolution, from the early years to the last, recounting the vast accomplishments, global impact, loyal followers, challenges and shortcomings, it remembers “the Soviet Union not as the end of communism but as its first grand, real-life experiment.” Featured speaker: Co-author, Richard Becker
