During the Legacy Gala, the GLIDE Legacy Committee--a group of young social entrepreneurs--will recognize the outstanding contributions of three architects of change who embody the passion and spirit of GLIDE's Co-Founders Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, as well as the organization's mission. This year, GLIDE will be honoring Olympic and World Figure Skating Champion Kristi Yamaguchi with the Janice Mirikitani Legacy Award. “It’s a wonderful thing to see this young group of philanthropists inspire those around them to get involved and make change happen,” said GLIDE Co-founder and Minister of Liberation, Reverend Cecil Williams. “The enthusiasm, compassion and drive of these young philanthropists will go a long way in bringing hope and inspiration to those who need it most,” added GLIDE Co-founder and Founding President, Janice Mirikitani.

In addition, the GLIDE Legacy Committee will host an online auction fundraiser on eBay featuring a variety of unique items that offer the ultimate in music, food, travel, sports and lifestyle experiences from San Francisco to New York!
