Join The Cabrillo College Justice League, Cabrillo students, faculty and local community members for TWO viewing and discussion workshops on the short (26 minute) film "Crisis in the Congo: Uncovering the Truth".
Crisis in the Congo: Uncovering The Truth explores the role that the United States allies, Rwanda and Uganda, have played in triggering the greatest humanitarian crisis at the dawn of the 21st century. We will be joined by Congolese activist Ngulula Kel to discuss her ideas of what can be done on an individual and systemic level to alleviate the suffering. Learn how CONFLICT MATERIALS are mined, find out more about the issues facing the Congo and discuss ways that you can make a difference in your life and within your community.
