Friday, 7-10 pm Solidarity Circle: Song, poetry, and story swap. Featured performer: Lynn Marie Smith, Detroit Motown Labor Diva

Saturday’s workshop schedule includes a film series and workshops such as Motown Labor Music, Telling Stories Through Art, Using Spoken Word and Theater to Support Universal Healthcare, Latino Worker Songs, Jazz and Workers Workshop with Avotcja.

On Sunday a tribute to Dr. King featuring Jimmy Collier and the Vukani Muwethu chorus (free and open to the public at 1:30), followed by the benefit concert at 7:00. The benefit concert will honor Jon Fromer (1946 – 2013) and will feature Lynn Marie Smith (the Detroit diva of labor music), Jimmy Collier (whose music often served as the introduction for Dr. King’s speeches), and the Seattle Labor Chorus.

Registration:  $75 for the full weekend, $15 Friday night, $35 Saturday only, $60 Saturday-Sunday, $10 single workshop, $15-30 sliding scale for the concert
