While Bailed-Out Banks Foreclose – People Fight Back!

Friday, Jan. 18, 7pm
2969 Mission St., San Francisco

The biggest U.S. banks agreed on Jan. 7 to pay $8.5 billion as part of a deal with the federal government to avoid prosecution for illegal foreclosures. The same banks that took hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money as bailout in 2008-09 have been super-aggressive in kicking people out of their homes. Under pressure from an anti-foreclosure campaign that started in the Occupy Movement, the government has been forced to take some action against the banks. But what does this settlement really mean?

How Would Socialism Solve the Housing Crisis

Are foreclosures, evictions and homelessness inevitable? Are they just facts of life? Hear reports on the bank foreclosures and how socialism would solve the housing problem, and other issues caused by the irrational capitalist system.

Join us for informative presentations and discussion on the accomplishments of the Bolivarian Revolution and its present and future challenges.

Los Bancos Rescatados Roban—¡El Pueblo Lucha!

viernes, 18 de enero, 7pm
2969 Calle Mission, San Francisco
