Each year on the anniversary of Miss Ella Jo Baker’s birth and death, the Ella Baker Center hosts the Legacy event to celebrate Miss Baker’s life and legacy. This year we are highlighting young activists who build on that legacy through their tireless work to create a just immigration system in the United States.

Please join us for this year’s event, Justice Knows No Borders. Tickets are sliding scale $0-10 but you must RSVP to reserve your seat!

Panelists include:
Ruby Lopez, a young DREAM activist,
Vincent Saephan, a youth member of AYPAL, and
Raha Jorjani, a lawyer who represents immigrant detainees.

These panelists understand the challenge of invisibility and prejudice in the United States. And how to advocate for dignity and human rights. They are changing our national conversation about immigration, human dignity and borders.
