Attorney Ed Frey, himself facing a six-month sentence for First Amendment SleepCrime with PeaceCamp2010, faces Grim Gavel Gallagher--charged with wearing insufficiently formal dress in the defense of outspoken homeless activist Gary Johnson.
Though told to dress up, Frey feared formal attorney atire would prejudice the jury to regard him as a "high-priced" lawyer, so in solidarity with his penniless client, he wore sweats.
Ed says he will be explaining his rationale and apologizing for any misunderstanding. It should be interesting.
