There will be an orientation/workshop on nonviolent direct action and civil disobedience, covering issues such as responses to police violence, affinity groups and other organizational issues, consensus and feminist process, the law and so on. Perfect for anyone who wants to take part in any of the many serious actions to come, including Jan. 20 in SF, defending foreclosed houses here or elsewhere in the Bay Area, March 1 at UCSC, and March 5 in Sacramento.
It will be led by Rabbit and Snail, who have between them years of experience in protesting, and doing such workshops.
It will be 1 to 5 January 16, Monday, downtown. Contact chris.hablesgray [at] stanfordalumi.org if you want to attend to get directions.
