This is thuggery beyond belief! This writer is of Jewish descent and certainly joins with Dennis in stating that Israel does not represent Jewish people. In fact, the Israeli government has contempt for Jews, which is why there is so much poverty in Israel. The Zionist founders of Israel were Nazi collaborators who broke the Nazi boycott with a Transfer Agreement to save their own skins, just as the current Zionist government collaborates with Nazi USA to promote US imperialism, at the expense of the workingclass both in Israel and around the world.
We finally have a station manager who will not, as previous station managers have, try to ask Dennis to stop exposing the horrors of Zionism and the theft of Palestinian land.
It was stunning to hear that the Israeli consul actually visits KPFA to tell the station manager to stop the pro-Palestinian news, and in particular to attack Flashpoints. It is equally outrageous that his Zionist friends deliberately and systematically, with malice aforethought, call KPFA during pledge time to disrupt the fundraising by calling in and then immediately hanging up!

Help Dennis *and* KPFA by donating to KPFA during his show, and by volunteering to answer phones during his show, so that there will be as many people as possible to receive the *real* donation calls. (There are 12 phones in the phone room.) The rightwing thugs have always played the above mentioned dirty tricks with the phones during Flashpoints' fundraising, but this may have peaked recently.
Dennis has also received death threats, as have many others who defend Palestinian rights.
Andrew Philips, the brave and competent new interim General Manager, and probably more than one Pacifica Executive Director, have resisted the bullying of the Israeli government representatives.
But the former General Manager, Lemlem Rijio, a part of the anti-democratic faction of the station, cut staff from Bernstein's Flashpoints program disproportionately, and contrary to the union seniority of Nora Barrows Friedman. That faction, organized around a small core of the paid staff, and including their support groups such as the so-called "Save KPFA", dislike Dennis's program, and would like to see it gone.
There has been speculation that the influence of pro-Israeli-current-government forces, and some potential major donors, may have also pressured the former iGM in this regard.
Dennis has also received death threats, as have many others who defend Palestinian rights.
