Israeli Consulate Sends Consul to KPFA to Object to Free Speech on Palestine

On 10/17/11, Dennis Bernstein, host of Flashpoints on KPFA, 94.1 FM, an outstanding news magazine program heard from 5-6 p.m., Monday through Friday, announced that the Israeli consulate regularly sends a representative to ask every station manager to demand that Flashpoints stop promoting the Palestinian liberation struggle! This outrageous contempt for free speech is unconscionable, and must be answered with support for KPFA as never before, because KPFA is needed as never before. This is thuggery beyond belief! This writer is of Jewish descent and certainly joins with Dennis in stating that Israel does not represent Jewish people. In fact, the Israeli government has contempt for Jews, which is why there is so much poverty in Israel. The Zionist founders of Israel were Nazi collaborators who broke the Nazi boycott with a Transfer Agreement to save their own skins, just as the current Zionist government collaborates with Nazi USA to promote US imperialism, at the expense of the workingclass both in Israel and around the world.

We finally have a station manager who will not, as previous station managers have, try to ask Dennis to stop exposing the horrors of Zionism and the theft of Palestinian land.

It was stunning to hear that the Israeli consul actually visits KPFA to tell the station manager to stop the pro-Palestinian news, and in particular to attack Flashpoints. It is equally outrageous that his Zionist friends deliberately and systematically, with malice aforethought, call KPFA during pledge time to disrupt the fundraising by calling in and then immediately hanging up!

As Americans read it, we must remember that this is all paid for with our tax dollars and supported 100% by every single Democratic and Republican politician at every level of government.
