What is the Afghanistan War All About?
The 'War on Terror' After Osama Bin Laden

After the killing of Osama Bin Laden, the U.S. government has gone on a “patriotic” offensive. The White House is declaring "victory" in its phony "war on terror." Former Bush administration officials are claiming that torture, rendition, war and mass killing "worked." But what's really different after Bin Laden's death? A decade after 9/11, the U.S. military is still occupying Afghanistan, failing to show progress in its goal of installing a stable, client regime. Over 50,000 troops still occupy Iraq and U.S. drones continue to bomb poor villages in Pakistan. Come on Friday to discuss the following:

What does the killing of Osama Bin Laden mean for the people of Afghanistan? Or for the United States?
Why is the United States in Afghanistan in the first place?
What force can end U.S. wars and win jobs, health care and free education for all?

La “Guerra contra el Terror” después de Osama Bin Laden

Después del asesinato de Osama Bin Laden, el gobierno de los EE.UU. se ha lanzado a una ofensiva “patriótica”. La Casa Blanca esta declarando “victoria” en su falsa “guerra contra el terror”. Los antiguos oficiales de la administración de Bush están reclamando que la tortura, rendición, guerra, y matanzas masivas “funcionan”. ¿Pero que en verdad es diferente después de la muerte de Bin Laden? Una década después del 9/11, el ejercito de los EE.UU. todavía esta ocupando Afganistán, sin poder mostrar un avance en su meta de instalar un régimen estable y títere. Mas de 50.000 tropas todavía ocupan Irak y las avionetas sin piloto continúan bombardeando a los pueblos pobres en Pakistán. Venga este viernes para discutir los siguiente:

¿Que significa el asesinato de Osama Bin Laden para el pueblo de Afganistán? ¿O los EE.UU.?
¿Por qué esta los EE.UU. en Afganistán en primer caso?
