Come along on this walking tour of downtown San Francisco which proposes a method whereby the value of community can be restored to the community. In fact, the tour is a survey of some of the social movements which have originated in or moved to San Francisco.
The walk presents the case for treating nature as a community commons, and securing equal and universal economic, social and environmental interest in nature.
It's a Xmas Day outing for those interested in seeing what the secular equivalent of Jesus' admonition to "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and unto God [the community] that which is God's" might look like.
All proceeds go to your choice of KPFA, Democracy Now! or KALW.
Sliding scale $10-50.
Begins at the cable-car turnaround, Powell at Market Streets
