Lack of Transparency and Potential Pressure From Employer In KPFA LSB Election?

by P. Revere
Should an Employee of a Current KPFA LSB Member Disclose Her Employment When She Runs for the LSB? Is there a potential for the employer to influence the vote of his employee?
Tanya Russell is running for the KPFA LSB on the "Save KPFA" slate. This slate is the rebirth of "Concerned Listeners", her boss Dan Siegel is a leader of Concerned Listeners. No where in her candidate statement or on the Save KPFA web site does she disclose her employment with the Siegel & Yee law firm. Transparency?

Will Dan Siegel have the ability to pressure, directly of indirectly, Ms. Russell, his employee, to vote as he suggests if she is elected to the KPFA LSB?

Does failing to disclose this relationship show disrespect for the KPFA voters? Is it contrary to the Pacifica Mission? What else are "Save KPFA" candidates failing to disclose?
