Emily Glanville will present a "Sea of Consequences", which addresses consumption patterns of plastic, and pathways of pollution including local Santa Cruz County watersheds. Bob Nelson will focus on the governmental response to the problem, including actions that other cities have taken, the reaction from the plastic industry, and the current process in Santa Cruz City and County to regulate single use plastic bags.
The meeting will be held as usual at the Friends' Meeting House, 225 Rooney St., in Santa Cruz, starting at 7p.m.
