DESCRIPTION:What is Santa Cruz doing about plastic pollution?  Emily Glanville, Program 
 Manager at Save our Shores, and Bob Nelson, Superintendent of Resource 
 Recovery for the City of Santa Cruz, will discuss the growing problem of 
 plastic pollution on the land and at sea, in our own community and around 
 the world. Emily Glanville will present a "Sea of Consequences", which 
 addresses consumption patterns of plastic, and pathways of pollution 
 including local Santa Cruz County watersheds. Bob Nelson will focus on the 
 governmental response to the problem, including actions that other cities 
 have taken, the reaction from the plastic industry, and the current process 
 in Santa Cruz City and County to regulate single use plastic bags.\nThe 
 meeting will be held as usual at the Friends' Meeting House, 225 Rooney 
 St., in Santa Cruz, starting at 7p.m.\n\nAdmission free, donations always
