Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club Program

On Thursday, April 22nd, starting at 7:30 PM, the Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club will host a panel discussion on the implementation of ranked choice voting, RCV, in Alameda County- how it will affect the Oakland mayoral race and how it will change local politics. The panel will consist of Esperanza Tervalon-Daumont, Executive Director of Oakland Rising, Bob Gammon of the East Bay Express, and Gautam Dutta of the New American Foundation. Oakland mayoral candidates have been invited to speak following the forum. In addition to the discussion on RCV, the program will provide a chance to hear from new, Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Peter Schurman at 7:15.

The club meets at the Humanist Hall, 390-27th Street, Oakland, starting with a 6 PM potluck. The event is free but please bring a dish to share. The rear address, 411 28th Street, is wheel chair accessible but please call Pamela Drake, 510-593-3721, prior to the meeting for assistance to the ramp.
