KPFA = Local, Community-based Media - NOT!

Date:
Wednesday, February 24, 2010
Time:
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Event Type:
Protest
Organizer/Author:
Midnight Matt or Zachary Running Wolf
Email:
Phone:
510.878.8427 (Zachary Running Wolf)
Location Details:
The KPFA studio building, @ 1929 Martin Luther King Blvd., Berkeley, CA, just north of University Ave.

KPFA may be listener-sponsored, but who controls it?
Coverage of important LOCAL issues on KPFA is pathetic, if not nonexistent. With the notable exception of Flashpoints programmer Dennis Bernstein, they ignored the historic UC Berkeley Memorial Oak Grove tree-sit, and now they play dumb while the irradiated remains from the Bevatron nuclear particle accelerator are being hauled thru the streets of "Nuclear-Free" Berkeley, passing just half a block away from their studio doors!

It's 1999 all over again. So join us in letting KraPFA know of your outrage over this outrage. That's @ the KPFA studio building on Wednesday, Feb. 24th, starting @ 10 AM and carrying on through the day!
