Fund Raising Workshop
Presented by George Taylor
Community-Based Fund Raising:
Supporting Your Cause Easily and Effectively
In these difficult economic times, many groups and non-profits are turning to a community-based fund raising strategy.
This method focuses on developing your core community, and it allows you, your staff and volunteers to do what they do best: educate people about your mission and inspire them to help.
Fundraising by this method leads to sustainable, predictable results. And importantly, since 75-80% of donations come from individuals, it’s where the money is.
At this event, you will learn:
What Community-Based Fund Raising Is
How It Can Help your Organization
How Your Organization Can Raise Money through this Method
Come and learn from a skilled fundraiser and changemaker, and share the experience with others from Marin's progressive community.
This promises to be an enlightening and worthwhile afternoon.
.
Instructor: George Taylor co-founded a local non-profit and helped raise one million dollars for it over eight years (with a lot of board an staff help.) Last year he consulted with over twenty small groups on fund raising and planning. He teaches small non-profits and progressive organizations how to organize staff and volunteer efforts to create community-based fund raising events and mailings.
Please pre-register by calling George Taylor at 258-9516.
Please send an email to George, as well, so he can send you a confirmation and some curriculum materials: geotaylor08 [at] gmail.com.
This workshop is FREE, donation are appreciated.
Co- Sponsored by Marin Peace and Justice Coalition and First United Methodist Church of San Rafael.
