We will show two videos on San Salvador Atenco and give some background on the community’s successful 2001 & 2002 resistance to government plans to build an airport on their land. The second video will show police terrorizing the community on May 3 and 4, 2006, several days after the Zapatista Other Campaign Caravan visited Atenco. We will have information on a new campaign to free the 12 remaining political prisoners. This video commemoration is part of a coordinated national campaign in Mexico and an international support campaign to remember what happened in Atenco and to free the Atenco prisoners. Free admission.
