UPCOMING COOKING CLASS FOR JANUARY 24th, 2008 - SATURDAY 10am-1pm
Though healthful plant-based diets are naturally lower in calories and higher in fiber than meat- and dairy-based diets, our January class focuses on those delicious dishes that are particularly low in fat and calories but high on flavor. Join Compassionate Cooks' (http://www.compassionatecooks.com) founder Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, author of the award-winning cookbook, The Joy of Vegan Baking (http://www.joyofveganbaking.com), in her monthly fun-filled cooking classes that celebrate healthful and humane eating that features local, seasonal, mostly organic ingredients.

On January 24th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm, she will demonstrate five fantastic dishes, including:

Fennel, Orange, Walnut, and Pomegranate Salad
Traditional Vegetable Soup
Saffron-Spiked Moroccan Stew
Chana Masala (Curried Chickpeas)
Greens-and-Beans Burritos.

WHEN: Saturday January 24th, 2008 - 10am-1pm
