RAN is organizing this event. Though all of us should do everything we can to fight global warming, we should also beware of environmental organizations who have an abysmal track record of selling out the environment. RAN still supports FSC certified wood, which even Friends of the Earth has dismissed as greenwashing for the lumber industry. RAN's strategy of "negotiations" with corporations at the expense of the environment and its people, is a joke. Going to their protest would only support their greenwashing agenda. Protest the banks on a different day, and organize a new coalition without them. Target the Chevron plant in Richmond, and work with the communities there. Don't work with this organization if you know what is good for you or the cause. It's toxic.
