QUEER-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE OF CSUEB HOSTS ANNUAL 'MOCK MARRIAGE'

All for Marriage Equality Month

What: Marriage Equality Mock-Wedding and LGBT Resource Fair
Where: 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd. Hayward, CA, Agora Stage outside University Union
When: Thursday May 8th, 12 noon-2pm
Why: To help support the concept of 'equal opportunity marriage for all.' At least 3 couples that shall be 'wed' on this day in a variation of ceremony types, a Jewish ceremony, a Pagan hand fasting and a traditional Christian ceremony as well as including participants of varying ethnicities to show how marriage equality is supported not only by the majority but by many minorities as well. This event is also being held as a celebration of Multicultural Week.

This is about equality for all and about the political movement that is currently going through the state Supreme Court right now. This is in part a demonstration of what basic civil rights everyone should be allowed. In this we will demonstrate the ceremonies, give away free food, dance and supply a LGBT Resource Fair for students on campus. This event is from 12pm-2pm on May 8th in on the Agora Stage and Lawn.
