Du’a Khalil Aswad was a 17 year old girl; she was stoned to death in public in Iraqi Kurdistan last year on April 2007. Since then hundreds more women have been killed for reasons of so “called honour”, A seminar will discuss the rise of honour killings, violence against women, gender apartheid in Kurdistan/Iraq.

Please join us to commemorate Du’a and many thousands like her who were killed, and stoned to death.

I wish I knew you sooner too because we need all the help for this cause because as you know it is very hard to change or stop things when it is against women and especially in Middle East and during this horrible War and Occupation, but we still need to expose, witness and educate our selves and others.
