Join Bay Area supporters of Barack Obama at 6pm Thursday evening in North's Beach's historic Tosca's Cafe Bar as they gather to watch the results of Thursday's Iowa Caucuses.

Event coordinators are inviting constituents of all Bay Area congressional districts to party with Northern California staff as results file in from the dead heat contest between Obama and his major opponents New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards.

The Tosca's party is the first of two local campaign events this week. A major rally is scheduled Friday at noon in San Francisco's Civic Center, in front of City Hall.

Obama's overwhelming popularity in the Bay Area caught city officials by surprise last November when 7000 showed up to attend the candidate's apperance at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

I wish the editors were more willing to eliminate publicity for capitalist politicians from this site. It's not censorship, since people like Obama have a lot more chance to be heard than any of us do.

BTW, if one did believe in supporting lesser-evil capitalist politicians, why would one support Obama over Edwards?
