Slated Combustion Turbines nearer to the Bayview Hunters Point Community - shot down.
The slated Combustion Turbines - also known as small power plants that will use fossil fuel have been shot down by the Regulatory Agencies. One determining factor - the San Francisco Public Utilities Staff - were NOT honest - in other words they LIED. They lied about data linked to the emissions from the Mirant Power Plant and they lied about the precise location of the proposed Combustion Turbines (CTs). In short they tried to pull a fast one, with the Regulatory Agencies - and in doing so have to deal with severe consequences.
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) and its Manager Susan Leal has done San Francisco and San Franciscans great harm. The did more when they LIED to the Regulatory Agencies linked with the proposed Combustion Turbines (CTs) or small power plants.
The Mayor has asked for the resignation of Susan Leal - the Manager of the SF Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC).
Susan Leal is now using all her connections to save her job. Susan Leal is bad news for San Francisco - and one reason that she must go - is that this woman will lie and have her staff lie - to win her dubious point or favorite project in the pipe line.
The Regulatory Agencies are fed up with the lies that have been told to the California Energy Commission (CEC), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the California Public Utilities Commission CPUC), the Department of Water Resources DRW) - and a number of other Regulatory Agencies, State, City, and Federal officials.
The SFPUC Staff without blinking an eye have lied about the Emission linked to the Mirant Plant.
Touting that the particulates and other toxic elements from the proposed 3 Combustion Turbines
(CTs) - will emit less pollution - when the case was NOT so.
Secondly, the Regulatory Agencies have NOT been told about the precise location - and this is critical to the Regulatory Agencies - especially the DRW.
Of course - the sole bid given to JD Power Company - has been called - because the company is known for its discrimination towards women. It is also known to do business with countries such as Burma - that the United States has an economic ban - against.
We really do not need any fossil fuel burning CTs in San Francisco. We especially do not need any CTs that will emit pathogens into the air and dangerous particulates - PM-2.5.
We have sufficient pollution and dangerous particulates that are slowly killing our children, our Elders, and those with compromised health. Of course Susan Leal does not care - because she has no children and most of those that she has in her inner circle have no children.
It takes a Mother and a Father to understand the death of a child - and it takes a caring family to under the harm done to our children, our Elders, and others - humane principles, compassion, that Susan Leal and her crones to not share with most decent folks.
Very soon the Environmental Protection Agency and the State of California - will enforce very strict Emission Standards - the proposed CTs will not meet them.
The Staff of the SFPUC know this but led by Susan Leal - and her stick and carrot method - of doing business - this ruthless woman - will go to any lengths to threaten and have her way.
The SFPU Commissioners have seen it all - and often times - Susan Leal has waited for one or two Commissioner to go out of town - so that she can have her way.
I think - Mayor Gavin Newsom got wind of this behavior - and in asking this inept, arrogant, very bossy woman to get of the way - is a wise decision.
I hope she leaves San Francisco and does not hang around. This despicable woman has caused too much damage in the short time she has hung around the SF Public Utilities Commission.
The Power Plant Task Force can now brag all it wants - but the fact remains that this immoral Task Force - did all in its power to help the EVIL Susan Leal - prodded by another inept, arrogant woman - the Supervisor from District 10 - Sophina Maxwell.
Notice - how Sophina Maxwell introduced a City Character amendment at the SF Board of Supervisors - that if it was in place - could have opposed the decision of the Mayor - in asking for the resignation of Susan Leal.
Susan Leal loves junkets to foreign countries - that she takes with her harem - the recent one to Paris, France - a case in point.
She surrounds herself with friends all female - most of whom hate men - and more qualified and intelligent men.
The Hetch Hetchy Project - a $4.6 billion project is in shambles - and after Susan Leal's departure the world will know the truth. Watch out Harlan Kelly.
Susan Leal hardly finished the Hetch Hetchy project but was trying to pull a fast one and asking for another Bond Measure - to deal with the Waste Water Project.
Every project Susan Leal lays her hands on - she staffs with her friends - most of whom are inept.
Very few of them are qualified Engineers - and all of them do not like dealing with intelligent men.
Well, at last the Bayvew Hunters Point can breathe a sigh of relief - the Witch that was bent on killing our children, our Elders, and those with compromised health - will not have her wish.
She can fly on that broom all she wants - and more so when she leave the SF Public Utilities Commission - very soon.
The Potrero Booster and one Joe Boss can feel the shaft - having NOT got his wish of placing the CTs closer to Bayview Hunters Point.
The Mirant Plant will be in operation until Reliability Must Run measures adjudicated by the California Independent Systems Operator (CAISO) - decides if the Energy needs are met in and around San Francisco.
The Jefferson- Martin transmission line is in place and must be tweaked by Pacific Gas and Electric to meet our Energy needs.
The Pittsbury-Potrero under the Bay cable will be in place in 2009 - if not earlier. It will bring in and provide over 400 Mega Watts of electricity.
Smaller under ground transmission lines are being upgraded by Pacific Gas and Electric to better the flow and stop leakage.
The City and County of San Francisco has a $100 million Solar Bond Measure - initiated by Tom Ammiano - but it had some flaws.
Recently, Mark Leno and others tweaked it - but it is too late - in the interim we have not done what others have done in the Solar Field - we talk the talk but cannot walk the walk.
Sustainable, Clean Energy in good - but our leadership in this field is very poor.
The Combustion Turbines using Fossil Fuel - is NOT the way to go.
That is why at the Bali Conference lately the world was laughing at the United States.
It is folks like Susan Leal and Sophina Maxwell - dumb, inept, ignorant, and very arrogant folks - with a low IQ - that can still be in favor of polluting fossil fuel power plants - that baffles the world.
At the Bali Conference - the United States was told to get OUT of the way if it could not stand by the principles agreed upon. Well, after the boos the United States did the right things - and agreed to curtail Green Gases - but left a sour taste - all the same.
San Francisco says in principle that we are a Green City. We say we abide by the Precautionary Principle - but in reality all over San Francisco - particulates, heavy metals, Asbestos Dust, and a hundred other toxins - are on the increase.
Susan Leal may be history in the near future - but the harm she has done - will live forever.
