Teach-In - The Jena Six Situation
Saturday, November 10, 2007
Evergreen Valley College Gym

EVERGREEN VALLEY COLLEGE is hosting this event.
Seating for the Teach-In will begin at 10:00 a.m.
and the panels will start at 11:00 a.m. sharp.

The Teach-In will provide a great opportunity for
students and a protest, put into a formal document,
against what has/is transpiring in Jena. The Formal
Document that will be submitted to the proper
authorities in Louisiana and Washington D.C. The
formal document would include requesting removal of
the Judge and the District Attorney in Jena Six
cases as well as reprimanding them (as in the case
of the District Attorney in the Duke Lacrosse case).

The panels will consist of criminal defense and
constitutional rights attorneys, social scientists,
educators, Ministers, Civil Rights workers, the
Human Relations Commissioner for Santa Clara County
and a Forensic/Clinical Psychologist.

Our major need is for co-sponsors to finance the
travel, lodging and food for two of the Jena Six
parents, one attorney and Rev. Moran to attend this
event. We will also need sponsors that will
distribute the news of this event widely.

The situation in Jena is very serious. Immediate
action is needed to address that which is being
reported and that which is not being reported at
all. We hope to have an immediate impact on Jena
and a lasting impact on Society as a whole for the
future.

The Jena six families, Rev. Moran and Legal Counsel
state that they need immediate help in the Court
Room with the Judge and the District Attorney. A
Jena Six Defense Fund has been set up. Donations
can be given to the Jena Six representatives at
this event on November 10th. The students and their
families are pleading for help.
