APOCALYPTIC WASTELAND LOCATION: From Santa Cruz, go north on Highway 1, turn left on Coast Road (about 4 miles north of Santa Cruz), if you are driving, park there on Coast Road (being respectful not to block the road or people's driveways), from here you are on foot. Near the north end of Coast Road is an access road with a gate (and Do Not Enter signs -- silence along this part) -- walk down the access road toward the beach and the railroad tracks. When you reach the railroad tracks, turn left and follow the tracks south about a 100 feet. From there look for signs and a trail heading to a secluded beach.

I have been looking forward to this showing all summer, no for as long as we've been doing GDI, no maybe my entire life. Since I was wee I imagined a twisted, blasted landscape in which I, the sole survivor, could finally live out my dreams of freedom and watch the earth regrow and reclaim the cancerous works of mankind. On Friday we water the seeds of the apocalypse. Come join us. -Rico

Guerilla Drive-In Presents

Post-Apocalyptic Film Festival
Friday Aug 26th, 8pm
Coast Road Beach, off Hwy 1

(Directions below)
Always Free!

Picture this: burning barrels, an apocalyptic landscape, bleak and inspiring films projected on a tattered piece of canvas, and the downfall of civilization at 32 frames per second. We're also thinking sleeping out under the stars and the full moon in a desolate landscape huddled together for protection against the elements and the scavengers, sharing what we have and building community and a new world in the ruin of the old. Films include Ever Since the World Ended, La Jetee, segments of Akira Kurosawa's Dreams, The Quiet Earth, and much more.

BRING: Only what you can carry away from the burning cities. Warm clothes, your post-apocalyptic fantasies and dreams, blankets, pillows, a sleeping bag,
friends, food & drink to share.

SANTA CRUZ GUERILLA DRIVE-IN is an outdoor movie theater under the stars that springs up unexpectedly in the fields and industrial wastelands. Beyond showing great movies and bringing a broad community together, part of our mission is helping reclaim public space and transforming our urban environment into the joyful playground it should be.
