Join the Center for Constitutional Rights this Thursday, August 9, as we argue in
federal court in San Francisco that the NSA's program of warrantless surveillance is
unconstitutional and should be struck down.

The Bush Administration, with overwhelming support from Congress, passed the Protect
America Act of 2007 this past weekend expanding the Government's power to spy on
Americans without FISA court approval. However, despite these efforts by both the
Executive and Legislative branches to endorse illegal warrantless surveillance, CCR
will press on in the courts in CCR v. Bush seeking summary judgment and an
injunction to end this severe violation of the 4th Amendment and shredding of
fundamental civil rights. CCR's lead attorney in CCR v. Bush, Shayana Kadidal,
provides a more in depth analysis of the NSA's program and the Protect America Act
here.

I will be discussing this critical issue on KPFA's morning show tomorrow at 7:30am
Pacific time, so please tune in. This is a critical moment in United States history,
and we encourage you to support us by attending the oral arguments tomorrow in San
Francisco to demonstrate your concern about this issue. Popular unrest has
historically had an impact on judicial decisions in the United States and now, more
than ever, we need your presence and conviction.

Oral Arguments in CCR v. Bush
Thursday, August 9 at 2:00 pm
Courtroom 6, 17th Floor United States District Court, Northern District of California

Sincerely,

Vincent Warren
