Marx's theory of alienation was deeply indebted to Hegel's thought, as was his concept of the transcendence of alienation. This meeting will explore how Marx's transformation of Hegel's revolution in philosophy into a philosophy of revolution speaks to the quest for a humanist alternative to capitalism today.
