Anthropology and Human Rights students at SFSU, who are co-organizing this important event, have identified yours as an important forum within the community. We hope we can count on you to post or announce the details of the Summit so we can reach as many people as possible, and generate necessary attention and attendance! This year’s theme is Sexuality, Gender, and Reproductive Rights, and we will be exploring the various and interconnected ways these themes are present in our world, on both individual and communal levels. There will be student panels, guest speakers, performances, and film showings in both the Jack Adams Hall and the Rosa Parks conference rooms in the Cesar Chavez Student Center, as well as diverse workshops and information booths set up on the lawn outside. There will also be an exhibit in the Hohenthal Gallery of the Science Building on campus where we will house a multi-media display entitled “Masturbation Through Time and Space.” As we are still in the process of scheduling and bringing resources together, we do not have a final calendar for the Summit. If you can print or otherwise publicize these preliminary details, we would be enormously grateful. We will pass on more information to you as we finalize the program in the upcoming weeks. These issues are of paramount importance in our world today, and we are hoping you can do your part in circulating the news of this significant convention. In Peace and Solidarity, Mariana Leal Ferreira, PhD Dept. of Anthropology - SFSU Global Peace, Human Rights & Justice Studies, Program Director 1600 Holloway Ave. San Francisco, CA 94132
