Protest Target in Davis!

Date:
Sunday, September 17, 2006
Time:
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Event Type:
Protest
Organizer/Author:
The Davis Anti-Authoritarians Collective
Location Details:
1756 Picasso, Davis, California

On Sunday, September 17th, from 1-4 pm, Target will hold a fundraiser to support the construction of one of their giant big box stores in Davis at 1756, Picasso.

As we all know, Target's proposal would shut down small business,
increase traffic congestion, and be a huge burden on the nearby
neighborhood.

Last but not least, Target employs abominable labor practices that can
be described only as slavery. Workers have been beaten, had their
passports confiscated, and otherwise abused at the hands of
manufacturers working for Target.

The party is being billed as a "fun for the whole family" This lie
ignores the fact that children are being abused daily at the hands
Target's capitalist exploiters in Jordan.

The DAA collective is calling all opponents of Target to gather and
protest Target and their atrocities.

Sunday
1-4 pm.
Outside the E-Suite on Picasso Street.
Bring signs, banners, whistles, noisemakers, pots, and pans!

There will be a spokescouncil on Saturday at 2:00 at the Delta of
Venus restaraunt to plan the demonstration.

Until every factory is occupied! Until every forest is defended!
